As the State Representative for the 43rd Legislative District I take great pride in advocating legislation and issues that promote economic development, protect the vulnerable, create fair and just workplaces and improve education at all levels.

The 2011 legislative session of the Kentucky General Assembly is underway and I will use my website to keep you up to date on bills under consideration including committee status, floor discussion and votes and their progress in the Senate.

I am chair of the Elections, Constitutional Amendments and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and issues that come before us will be reported here as well. I am sponsor and co-sponsor of many important pieces of legislation - including lowering the interest rate to 36% charged by payday lenders – and their progress will be highlighted as well.
